Moteck H180 Part Needed!

Hi guys, ive just bought a new moteck h180 motor but its missing a part If anyone has one they want to sell or the whole motor for parts or working they want to part with, i will be willing to buy from you. It will be going on the Raven / CM 1.2 dish. Many thanks.

It's easy enough to fabricate your own. Just get a steel bar, drill a few holes and hammer the bend out. Alternatively you could use some washers if you don't want to bash the bend out

Im gonna call some local companies tomorrow to see if they can help, messing with metal is something i dont do im afraid.

Maybe I'm missing summat too - but, if you bought it new and it ain't complete, surely the supplier is obliged to remedy the shortfall?

I paid £70.00 [good price anyway] as it was his last one, after we noticed the piece missing he gave me £50 back so the new motor only cost me £20.00

Hey guys, i managed to ask a fabricator and they obliged. Just collected it and they did it free of charge, one hole is slighlty off for bolt to fit through properly but i can fix that. Then i will spray them black to match. Happy days now.

Update: Just took it back and they widened the holes and now its perfect, Big respect to the guys who did it.

You might want to use something like red oxide, or other rust resistant primer, before painting it black.

I think I tried the Moteck H180, many years ago, for my 1.2M Channel Master, after my original Jaeger SMR 1224 was destroyed, and though it worked, the quality was nowhere near as good, fortunately I managed to get hold of another SMR 1224, that's still going strong.

Im jealous lol, Every hobbiests dream to find one of those motors, they are like gold dust now. However i did have the h180 on my previous setup, also a raven 1.2, (see my avatar pic] for 3 years. Strong winds misaligned it so i decided to dismantle and have my pole and brackets re powder coated. I purchased a quarl 18" HD actuator to try a polar mount but SSS has increased the prices again by £150, rip off imo. So i managed to find this new h180, its new and only cost me £20

Maybe 1 day i will find a 1224 and id be willing to pay a high price for it.

There should be no need to pay a high price, they still pop up on eBay now and again at reasonable value.
I am fairly sure I have seen used models on their own or as part of a motorised setup recently on eBay.

I do have a Jaeger 1224 that is brand new and boxed, never been installed, if you have the urge to pay a high price?
There was a post in the classifieds section of this forum offering this for sale quite a while ago.

I also have one for sale but it would be together with a 1.8m Laminas rather than on its own.
