It's pretty impressive indeed. Very professional.

That then lead me into twenty five minutes of Doctor Who heaven with two videos of the various versions of the theme tune over the years. Marvellous.

The "50th Anniversary" titles no doubt - absolutely brilliant bit of production. I do have a special fondness for the 1980s titles. I think my fave is the Sylvester McCoy titles although some of the stories were pretty awful.

I always took it that 2001: A Space Odyssey was the inspiration for that.

It was, but the chair - with Homer on board - was the best nod - hom(m)age - ever to Kubrick.

And I've just missed the 'Adventure in Space and Time' homage repeat, to find repeat of The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy is about to start.

Time to retire, not ala Mr Hartnell.

Excellent Dr who weekend really ..

A new Doc ..a new season...and much enjoyed the rescreening of William Hartnells story in the dramatised beginnings of Dr who last night..
So to continue the theme..
Who is your favourite Dr pre his 2005 return ?
Who is your favourite companion(s) from this period ..
and
Favourites post 2005..?
I'll start ..
Tom Baker
Elisabeth Sladen
But a special place in my heart for William Hartnell

David Tennant
Karen Gillan

But I did have trouble with this as I loved the raw energy and grit brought to the role by Chris Eccleston
..and for me the sexiest companion is the current one
Jenna 'the pocket venus' Coleman
...and when Strax offered to take her clothes ..I heard a nation of letches like myself egging her on ...

Episode 2 was somewhat guilty of plagiarism
