"No tuner found"

My DM800 decided to give me a new message "No tuner found" this was after the unit stopped working
When I did a reboot it notified me that there is no tuner connected when i go into the setup.
Any Ideas

First thing to try is getting the case off and making sure that the tuner is well seated in its socket. Assuming that it is and the problem persists, it may be a failed tuner unit. If your box is original, contact Dream as I have found their customer services team to be responsive and willing to send out replacement tuners for boxes more than 12 months old. If it's a clone, try contacting your supplier to resolve the issue but unless you are very lucky, I wouldn't hold out much hope of decent support.

Do you have a friend with a DM800? Might be worth testing their tuner in your box if you are lucky enough to have access to one.

I'm sure there are other tests you can perform which I cant think of right now, but a re-flash is always an option worth considering just in case. I'm sure the other bright souls in this forum will chip in with other options. If at some point you conclude you need a new tuner and dream wont provide one, I can recommend supersatshop as they provided a replacement which solved my issues (dream sent me two which did not fix my problem).

Opened the box and found a loose IC floating around. Looked on the underside of tuner and found the position the IC was suposed to be in. Rsoldered it gently into place and it started working again.
But now new problem so see new posting on DM800 not booting.
