Anyone try this Jaeger motor with a Fibo? It's about the price of a Diseqc but should be faster. The only problem is that the pole fits the from below, unlike most motors, so it might not be possible.

This is no problem only you must buy the orginal unit from Fibo for it 19,95 Euro.

See my website:

Hi,
Did you try a 99G with the Fibo? Is it an improvement? I've been looking at old posts here and the general opinion is that the Fibo motor is not much good.Mine has quite a bit of play in it. I don't really want to change it unless I have to though.

I like the Fibo motor, it is much better quality than most. :)

Can you see where the play is, is it between the nylon cog and the diecast gear, or is it inside the motor itself.

The most common cause is overdriving the dish at the end of it's travel, or hitting an obstuction like the wall, this causes the drive pin to bite into the nylon cog and possibly bend the pin. This then gives some backlash/play in the drive train. The motor itself has a backlash adjustment intenally, but this rarely needs adjusting, unless badly set up in the first case.

If you PM me we can sort the backlash and the reed sw. out. :)

John, I am not able to PM you, probably because I have not been a member long enough. Is there a way round this?
