TBS5520SE USB What's the catch?

Hi,

This TBS work fine for me with motor.
Put the 2 plugs, start DVBDream, if the green led is not lit(switched on) restart DVBDream.
If not yet on, restart PC...it has to work.
You can also disconnect the 2 plugs for a few seconds.

Your English is good, I understand what you are saying

I have to keep unplugging and resetting each time I use the motor, or it will not get lock.
What drivers are you using?

I use Windows 10 and "TBS5520SE-Driver-W10-v1.0.0.5" on my laptop.

Ok an Update,

Motor works fine with ProgDVB
Seems to be an issue with DVB Dream, once it starts moving the dish it wont ever get a lock till you remove USB and plug it back in.

Been using this all evening, really impressed with this! Been swinging my dish around all day and it's working well.
Need to try some other software, ProgDVB is working perfectly but DVB Dream I can't get working properly.

Blindscan and Blindscan 2 seems to be working in CrazyScan for me:

I received My TBS5520SE and compared to TBS5925 professional box.
Yes graphs are not so smooth as TBS5925 can do.
But blindscan speed is little bit better than TBS5925, but it can take up to 1 houre.
After testing on weak UK beam transponders, I can say TBS5520SE has better sensitivity.
TBS5925 locking at 5,7dB minimum on lower (DVBS) 28E transponders.
TBS5520SE locking at 4,8dB minimum on same transponder (5,0dB bad picture received).
In real world difference is wery small because good , stable picture starts at 6,0dB both tuners.

Try Blindscan2, 85.128 sec for H&V!

Working perfectly in SmartDVB

Think I know what the issue is though with DVB Dream:
It is with the BDA Driver, if I use bdas.dev in any software it causes these issues.
If i use the Florian bda.dev it works perfectly.

I changed to the bdas.dev in SmartDVB and the same issues happened.
Going back to the Florian bda.dev it worked perfectly.

There is also a TBS 5580, this is the same as the TBS 5520SE but has a CI Module Slot and also has a DC Input socket for external power.

Any idea for this issue with DVBDream and MIS with or without PLS.
I think that the problem is to lock on a stream id. and not with the PLS parameters.
For example EBsPro an CrazyScan can switch between differents stream id. and of course stream video.

DVBDream just doesn't work properly with the BDA driver, I have spoken to TBS and they are looking in to some things, might be worth speaking to them?

I use SmartDVB now, will that do what you need?

Ah ok, I use also ProgDVB... 32 bits, because a plugin don't work with 64 bits version.
With this one I can receive sometimes channels in MIS but I cannot select the Stream this one is selected aleatory...

I see, I have not tried plugins with ProgDVB so I use 64bit version, is it worth trying out SmartDVB? It is free and works well for me but I have not tried what you are doing.
