Its a twin tuner receiver - do you have 2 lnb cables connected?

Are they from a fixed dish? If so just set tuner B config to "equal to tuner A".

I tried changing the tuner B config to 'loopthrough to tuner A'. But even though this was an improvement, there were still many channels missing, although I think we're on the right track. Do you have any other ideas please?

You need to provide more info if you want a helpful answer.

First, what is the aerial system? Fixed, motorized, twin LNB, etc.

Also a screen grab of your tuner config, A & B.

And what image, version and build.

Hi Huevos, thank you for that, and I'm sorry that the information was too limited; I have a fixed aerial with a multiple socket LNB ( it has 4 holes, but I'm only using 2). The image is OpenPLi, that has been recently updated to version & build as follows.

.
This is the only way I could supply hopefully what you're asking for, in order to help me.

Tuner A should be:

config mode: simple
Mode: Single
Sat: 28E
DiSEqC: no

Tuner B should be:

Config mode: equal to
Tuner: Tuner A

By the way the image is 4D not OpenPLi. OpenPLi don't produce an image for the Technomate receivers. I'd switch to OpenViX.

Personally i would set both Tuners identical as in : Simple - Single - 28.2° as i know some images can play funny beggars with how you set the tuner's up in the first place, Also while recording ahve you set the Tuner preference in the main menu settings page. Again its more than likely set to auto try setting either prefer A or prefer B and see how you go on.

There is no tuner preference for recording. Tuner preference is for all actions. And if it is a twin tuner box it will always choose the tuner that is not in use for the recording. Only time it will choose the same tuner is if the service is not available on the alternate tuner.

Anyway, Ironm4n, we need to know if this is a box problem or an aerial system problem. So swap your two aerial cables so they are going to the opposite sockets and retry.

Hi digi247, I tried all configurations and to be honest none of them gave me anything more than I have now, Huevos, you mentioned OpenViX, how do I go about switching to this and what if it doesn't work? How would I switch back?

Ok, I just tried swapping my aerial cables and all I get now is 'tuned failed on all channels. The OPENPLI snow view is all I see. : /
