Am looking in to getting a new satellite receiver, and have come across both of the above boxes. Can anyone tell me the difference between a Clarke-Tech CT9100 and an Xtrend ET9000?

Looking around, I've seen reports that both are same boxes, just rebadged, and looking at technical specs between them all, they do appear to be identical. Does the new ct9100 have a newer/better processor or more ram or anything? Or is it just a case that it is rebadged? Don't want to go spending an extra £40 if it's the same box...

Many thanks

David

Would indeed be interesting to know: I'm sure I've read multiple reports on German, French & Dutch forums that they are identical indeed, just badge-engineering.

From everything I have read they are exactky the same. No difference whatsoever apart from the name.

The same, but you are getting a nice badge for your extra £40.

Hmmmm, think I'll leave the badge for people who have more money than sense :p

Thanks for all the replies. No point in spending that money for a badge. And there was me thinking you just paid extra money for DMM kit :p

From what I have heard they are the same.

I heard xtrend the ODM and owners sold some to Clarke Tech who are OEM and badged em up ET9000 then Xtrend took the name back and started selling em as intended Xtrend ET9000.

Then Clarke Tech managed to reconvince them to resupply themselves and then CT decided to rebadge them to CT9100

And as far as I'm concerned they are like the CT9000 the same receiver

I would like to ask maybe this can be clarified too

I have seen statshop ( lavatronics) selling em higher as OP has pointed out why is this

I was under the impression they where £319
