I've started yet another crazy project ...and this one is freaky ..
The Toshiba 5200/100 is an orange gas plama so called laptop ..but weighs in like a small suitacase full to bursting..
So far I have managed to get the screen working ..but the Connor double thickness 3.5 inch 100mb IDE/ATA oil bearing hard drive is on its last legs..
I have also retrofitted a suitable RTC battery..
It is loaded with win 3.1 ...and I have seen it run .
Picture attached.
However the propietory bios makes it impossible to attach anything other than the Connor ..
Also the proprietory non standard floppy drive is dead ..so no hopes of getting it working that way.
It has a 386 cpu and integrated VGA out via Dsub ...so attaching a colour monitor is fairly easy..
It does however have 2 ISA slots ..
1 x 16 bit full sized ..and 1 x 8 bit half sized.
Enter my idea to use an ISA Adeptec scsi card with floppy controller integrated..
Problem is although I have the card ..I dont have a suitable hard drive ..
1 or 2 gb max I guess ..
50 pin
Stephen or anyone in fact ..
I'm on a begging mission ?
Here is a couple of photos of it so far ..and one from the web ..to show what it would have looked like complete..
I'm scared to turn it off ..cos next time it may not boot at all..

...would you believe ..this lump of retro tech would have cost around 11.5 thousand dollars back in 1991..
