Anyone could suggest a simple, 2in 1out switch responding to voltage change? My problem is: 2 Ku band professional PLL LNBs having internal tone band switching but not internal polarity switching (they are installed on an OMT system with two separate output RF cables). Both LNBs perfectly work with 13 or 18 volt. So, adding a simple 13/18 volt switch I could use this system exactly as a common universal LNB from any receiver. When receiver sends 13 or 18 volt the switch provides to connect right LNB, when the receiver sends 22 KHz tone the connected LNB gets higher band. Any suggestion? Thank you.

Just a standard DiSEqC 1.0 switch.

Unfortunately diseqc 1.0 is not the best solution because most receivers can not control polarity via diseqc. My LNBs are in an OMT configuration (1 H, 1 V), so the switch must be used for polarity selection. What about Global? Have they a 13/18 volt switch in catalogue? Thank you.

I've looked on Google but can't find any info about the Global switch but this would have been a long time ago now before 13/18V was common for polarity switching. Probably not easy to get hold of now.

What about a 12v switch if you have a 12v output on the receiver that could be used to switch LNBs?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The Technomates have no 12v output.

A switch downline is going to suck some of the overall sensitivity from the set up.

Can you run a second cable to the receiver ?

Yes, TM has no 12 volt output. But.... well, if 13/18 volt switch is not available, probably 12 volt is a good idea. A simple 12 volt power supply would be enough to manually control a 12 volt relè. It would not be an automatic switching, but it could work. Thank you.

Do you polarity or polarization?

DiSEqC will work fine. If the receiver can't run this config just set it up as 2 satellites with the horizontals on one and the verticals on the other.

I'm still evaluating carefully this problem. As I said, manual switching could be a good solution, but after long google research I found this product:
h**p://w*w.emp-centauri.cz/index.php?lang=en&page=prodview&id_kateg=3&id_pkateg=43&id=11
It's not a 2x1 switch, it's a larger 3x8, but it includes a terrestrial option (that's a good news). I believe this could solve my problem, what do you think?
