Looks like 14.0°W Express A4 (incl. 2.5°) has finally been de-commissioned
The bird was in a state of incline but had been in use up to a few days ago when I last checked.
Tried tonight ...and used 2 degrees above and below geostationary arc..
Nothing at all found ..so it looks like the Russians may have abandoned this slot as well as 40 East.

I don't know about that VS. Apparently according to their website Express AM-8 is going to 14w when its launched in 2013 and Express AM-7 is going to 40E in 2013 also.

...Odd that they didn't keep the slots active till the new birds arrive..
No doubt there is a time period kept open ..but this assumes no hitches along the way.
They must be be very confident of trouble free launches

Russian footprint maps look odd lately on their newer satellites:

Hah! Looks like the official ISRO maps for the Indian birds - draw a line round your target area and thats the coverage area!

I do this in manual mode, to program this unit it's a real nightmare, there are not so many inclined satellite , I can adjust the elevation by up and down buttons.

If you want to program my RC ,you're welcome home ;)
