hi all

ive seen info about 16e moving to 15.8e and having a poor signal currnently, but im really struggling to receive tring channels.

im sure the footprint covers all of the uk but i get 36% quality at the most, which means no lock.

im using USALS on an 80cm dish. ive tried tweaking all over the place and thats the best i can get.

i just need a couple more % for a lock.

can anybody manage a lock on tring from a similar location?

cheers

You live 40 minutes away from me and I lock Tring at 70% signal with an 80cm dish ;)

Ive fitted a few dishes for 15.8e the last few weeks in and around Manchester and have not bothered with 80s as i only managed 50/60% max and if you take the weather into consideration even worse, i fitted 90cm and getting 75+%

Hey,

I may have some work for you soon, you seem a good guy from your thread.

Really it's tidying up my wiring mess.

Regarding Tring, I easily get 70% with 80cm.

Yeah but it's weird that I have to move it across 16e to find Tring and then back to get DigitAlb etc.

It is due to the three satellites around 16e being strung out, old and with misshapen beams pointing to SE europe.

Eutelsat W3B is due to be launched at the end of October and will be quickly put into service, so normal service should be resumed sometime in November / December.

The footprints are here.
