Hey,
I have two satellite boxes (dm500 and a standard sky one)
I use the dm500 mainly, but sometimes I use the sky one (for PPV, or for the epg lol).
I have the both plugged in and just swap the card and the coax cable whenever I use htem.
I want to buy a coax switch, so I can have both connected, then just flick the switch to whatever one i want to use.
Ive seen some switches on ebay (such as http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COAX-2-WAY-AB...yZ149972QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem)
But the thing is it looks like its going the wrong way (its for two input signals, instead of one input and two outputs)

Would this still work the way I want it (reversed)?
Or if not can anyone recommend a good one?

Cheers,
Jack

Why not use a dual LNB and two cables instead of swapping the coax cable ?
It is not a good idea to have the boxes powered on and then connect the cable using a switch as this might damage the LNB.
This way you can also watch one channel and record with the other since you have two boxes.

I do not really understand why you need a switch.

By saying you want to manually switch means you are watching your receivers on the tv tuned in on a channel between 21 and 69, not SCART.

If this is the case ( and must be ) why not just loop your receivers with coax then tune in on different programme numbers on the tv but on different UHF channels.

That would mean no expense, no getting up physically to change the switch and simply using your tv remote?

Just turn it round. You can get A/B switches on UK Ebay. I've got two of them on my workbench.

The switch shown in the foto of roaryyyj seems to be suitable. However, he should check the frequency range. I think that this switch is made for VHF/UHF. Thta means that the highest frequency supported is 862MHz or 1.000MHz.

In order to switch signal from LNB you need a switch able to operate from 950MHz to 2.150MHz.

You can use a antenna relay like SAR12F
