Hi,

I have 2 dreambox dm7000's and a Sony Sky box (I don't use it, just for tuning as the tuner is more sensitive). I get most of the Sky Channels, but not the BBC ones, ITV2 etc.

I have a 1.5m dish, Spaun SMS5809NF multi-switch and have tried Invacom and Titanium quattro lnb's. I did get some of the BBC channels before, but they now have gone (I got them until about 5pm, then they came back around 9pm - don't get them at all now).

My question is whether a C120 lnb might help? Can I fit this to any 1.5m dish or are there only specific ones that work?

I saw that Puffin had written that it helped his signal. Would an Inverto Quattro QT be suitable and if so, which horn fits?

Any help would be appreciated!

Snap's setup: (In Spain) Humax HDR, Prodelin 1.8m dish + Invacom QDF-031 + CM feed, (In UK) CallFlow VDSL + EE 4G, Sky Q, YouView HD, Mac OSX, iOS

If can do without the multiswitch, that would help, as there is slight signal loss.
You're better off with the Invacom quad, though the Invacom quattro will perform the same.
If you have an offset dish, a channelmaster feedhorn is the best. If you have a prime focus dish (circular) you need an Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn.
And the short answer is yes, on this dish size a C120 LNB will always perform better.

Thanks for the answer. The V frequencies seem to be the ones I am not getting. Have read that the Inverto IDLP-001QDF takes in these better than the Invacom. Have you or anyone else made a test comparison?

Yes. I did a test recently (results to be published in comparison tests thread), which showed the Inverto single C120 was as good as an Invacom C120 Quad on vertical transponders. The Inverto was very poor on 2D horizontal frequencies.
I'm told Inverto quality control is not up to much, so you have a chance of getting a poor one.
Opinions are divided on the other Inverto models.

Hi OzzieBob... I doubt changing the LNB would help to be honest. I have a 1.8m Channel Master Offset here in Hässleholm (not far from you), and I can just receive 2D H Channels. The 2D V channels are a lost cause. We are on the fringe, and if I had a choice I would definitely go for a larger dish. I have tried changing my LNB's rund many times before without luck, and I always revert back to my MTI twin.
