@John Nice, that is an interesting little project you have there. How are you going to secure the Ku feed in place, some type of tri-locator bracket that can use the three M8 threaded holes in the Ku feed? More pics please once you have the final mock up... Back to the Turkey beam from 42.0E, I think that your best chance of a signal lock may be with 11977 H, SR27500 and 12245 H, SR27500. Based on my location, these two frequencies are stronger than any of the others I have locked. However, these beams that are fringe in the UK have some odd characteristics and your location might be different. You should certainly detect this pair of frequencies with your Promax Ranger. One point to consider, some of the frequencies from the West beam of 42.0E are also used by the East/Turkey beams on the opposite polarity. As the West beam frequencies are very strong they can cause a bit of cross polarisation unless the opposite polarity has been nulled out. Initially, I found this was interfering with fringe reception from the East/Turkey beams until I adjusted the skew more accurately. There are a decent number of frequencies from the East beam of 42.0 East that I have locked but I will finish messing about with the Turkey beam before posting any results from the East beam.
