My 13 month old 42LG3000 model developed a fault sound but no picture I tested it by shining a bright light on screen and could see faint images on screen which led me to believe that this could be an Inverter Board problem (am I right in thinking this) when I removed back from T/V and removed Inverter Board covers here was 2 boards not of the 42LG3000 but of an earlier model LC7D further investigation I found out that the LC7D model had numerous complaints about picture,sound and switching itself off and on, getting back to my original question Inverter Boards do you think at a guess this could be the problem I am open to any suggestions of help.

Well it depends upon who you bought if off but I would suspect that a largish company will honour the European code of two year warranty, so take it back and if they do not then based upon your research you can threaten them with trading standards as you have been sold a model containing incorrect and more to the point faulty parts, I attach the relevant documentation

Just make sure you put the back on properly and replace those 'void if damaged' stickers.

Many thanks for your guidance Television was bought at PC World it broke down precisely 1 year and 2 weeks from purchase of said item, it was handed in to an Electrical T/V repair centre an authorised one they said it would cost £2189.69 to repair a £550 Television maybe I mistakenly had MUG printed on my forehead.I would add before I retired I was a technical engineer building and repairing ATM's, Computers installing heating systems industrial and domestic in my working career so I do know my way around and I also know my capabilities due to quadruple bypass recently. I will take the advice you have given I was just needing a sounding board and some guidance with up to date legalities. Many Thanks

We have a courier company in our city named Grabbit and Run. If you handed over that kind of dosh to that repair centre, that would be a good name for them

Got good news today LG are going to replace my Television as the cost of repairing outweighs the cost of replacing now this rates in my book excellence as they are replacing with one of their latest models. Just thought I would share this with you especially when a company goes out of it's way for customer satisfaction.
