Locked 4050V today - a good number of Indian channels along with some feeds. Weaker than 3730V but pretty stable.

I struggle with this one on.1.8 c.m. maybe if the l.n.b was at center focus rather than 5.0 degrees offset .........

Technically my C band LNB is also offset by a few degrees as I have to adjust dish declination to bring it into focus. When I had the LNB changer on the Laminas, the difference between side-by-side offset arrangement and when it was in focus was up to 1dB.

As i mentioned in post 22, receiving 4050V is a struggle on the 1.8 c.m. due to the l.n.b. being offset.
And i do like to have the Indian channels for some of the music content ... and the bonus is the Reuters feed on the same transponder.
So i thought i would give it a try on the Alcoa 1.8 p.f. as its been sitting mostly unused since the change of k/u beams at 42E . i already had a home made C band l.n.b. holder from experiments in the past ... i tried a number of l.n.b.f,s ... all were below or borderline lock at best ... ended up with a hybrid... scalar and l.n.b from an old co rotor and the feed tube that came with the 3 m Prodelin .... so i,m fixed to one polarity .. but that,s all i want from this sat anyway.
Very happy with the results from a very old petalised dish and the ancient bits and pieces fastened to it :)

Nice result! I reckon stick it on a motor, equip it with the AV comm barrel with skew and you'll have a nice dedicated C band dish.

Attached below is today's scan result table for 46.0 East in C-Band.

The noticable feature of this satellite is that there is a bunch of frequencies all with low symbol rate with only a small separation between them, in some cases only 1MHz. The cluster is between 4116V and 4137V. I manged to achive signal locks on most of this cluster but a couple of them required manual tuning.

I think there may be scope for improvement on the signal levels I recorded as I was using a Zinwell LNBF inserted into a "non polo pipe". The plain pipe was needed to get the feed throat aperture to the focal distance required for the dish. The current feed holder on the dish does not allow an LNBF to get close enough unless it is "piped up"

I will return to this satellite when I have fitted an alternative set of feed support arms to the dish that allow an LNBF to be clamped at the correct focal distance without needing to be "piped up".

Not sure, if this one is a regular service, TV-logo: "H3 TV", using french subtitles, but no clear video stream. Probably someone else here knows this service?

Last night's C-band reception conditions were good for 46° East.
4123 V 2381 3/4 QPSK with 9 dB
3869 H 1250 3/5 QPSK with 3,1 dB and lock
