HOT BIRD (13° East)
Channel: HOT BIRD 4K1
Frequency: 11 296 MHz
Polarization: Horizontal
Symbol rate: 27 500
DVB-S2, 8PSK, FEC 3/4
I just bought a new 4K TV with DVBS2 SAT tuner and HEVC (H.256) codec (which, as I understand, is what most 4k content is encrypted with). I tuned it to the Hotbird 4k test channel, but I'm only getting the audio feed (I can also get all the other non-4k channels on the transponder ok). I can also stream 4k videos from YouTube, so it seems "native" 4k is possible with this TV.
Any ideas why I can't get the 4k? I tried my other (external) HD SAT-tuner, and I could only get audio on there as well, but the external tuner doesn't have the H.256 codec, so I didn't expect to get 4k.
I also tried the 4k test channels on 28.2E and 19.2E but couldn't get those at all (despite getting all other channels on those SAT's)
