Advice Needed 4k TV's with 4k decoders for satellite ?

As far as i know any 4k tv with a satellite tuner can view 4k channels , might be wrong though .

I have a 4k capable satellite tuner in my oled LG tv which I am using for watching 4k channels. The tuner software can be used for moving a dish. It is not as versatile in channel sorting as it lists all channels from all satellites in one long list.

My 4k Samsung TV has a satellite tuner and a CA socket for a CAM which I'm using for Fransat at 5W. Ch 444 of Fransat is their 4k demo channel scrambled in Viaccess 4.0 which the basic Fransat card undoes..

My Samsung TV is a UE55JU7000TXXU. It has two satellite inputs and one terrestrial. It receives all the FTA 4k channels from 42E to 30W.

Ok thanks but I see this model has now been discontiuned, I guess future versions will also have 2 inputs for satellite, this is not two sat tuners btw ?

Estas en un error, todos los TV tienen una pantalla 4K(UHD).
Pero no todos pueden ver emisiones 4K (UHD) por satelite, tampoco todos pueden reproducir ficheros 4K (UHD),
Samsung tiene un certificado que confirma este tema ===> OK.
LG ahora tambien tiene un certificado que lo confirma==> OK.
Pero en los viejos TV de hace 2 años (LG 40UB8000-V) nada.
PDa puestos, si dura, que tenga sintonizador TDT2 para futuro.

These mistaken, all have a 4K screen TV (UHD).
But not everyone can watch live broadcasts 4K (UHD) satellite, not everyone can play files 4K (UHD)
Samsung has a certificate confirming this topic ===> OK.
LG now also has a certificate that confirms ==> OK.
But in the old TV 2 years ago (LG 40UB8000-V) nothing.
PS: For that matter, if it lasts, you have to dial TDT2 future.

There was a Panasonic stand at IBC this year , but it was commercial application aligned , 4LH model monitors and recording/editing suite equipment.

Not nessasarily, few of these 4k tv's actally have a decoder for sateliite 4k reception

I beg to differ the B6 just has a standard satellite tuner the same as every other 4K UHD HDR compatible TV with built in Satellite tuner. The TV does all the work (decoding)

Richer sounds tell me the B6V does not have a 4k decoder buolt in...hmm not sure they really know for sure though

The B6 is a 4K UHD HDR OLED TV it plays everything, I am not sure what you do not understand a satellite tuner is just that a satellite tuner it does not have any 4K decoder built in its sole purpose is to receiver DVB-S/S2 frequency's it does not do any type of decoding, In fact i dont know any TV or Satellite receiver that has a satellite tuner in that does decoding . The TV is 4K UHD HDR Premium certified

What I mean is that the tv does not have or perhaps does have the needed H265 HEVC codec to decode anything 4k now and in the future from the BBC etc. Ie my Amiko A3 has a 4k decoder and so displays a 4k transmission, my other sat boxes like the Technomate 5402 does not have the needed codec so will NOT display any 4k content from wharever satellite...

Not 100% sure but the current models could be upgraded via firmware to receive HLG transmissions correctly, That would have to be down to LG to update

Hmm ok that's interesting. Thanks for info. I would call LG but I don't like using national rate numbers... nothing on say no to 0870 unfortunately
