Attached below are a couple of pictures from today's scan of 57.0E in C-Band.

I only managed to lock two regular satellite TV channels so far, the rest are all data. The LNB currently on the dish is a Titanium WiMax LNB specified for the 3.7 - 4.2 GHz range so it may be cutting out some of the 3600-3700 range signal level?

In the past I have found that this LNB does detect signals below its specified range but I am also at the extreme edge of my East line of sight and think I may be partly blocked by houses to the left. The reduction of signal level from possible line of sight issues coupled with the LNB specified range may be the reason for the poor scan result?

I will switch over the LNB to a 3.4 - 4.2 GHz LNB without the WiMax filter to see if it improves on the scan result. I'll be back...

I'm back

I changed the LNB over to the non WiMax version with frequency range 3.4 - 4.2 GHz and repeated the scan. There was no improvement in signal level at the lower end of the frequency range with the non WiMax LNB.

The final scan result table is attached below. It is a sorry sight with little success, only two regular satellite TV frequencies locked and a few signal flickers that were about as noticable as a fart in a hurricane. Nowt to see here, on to the next...
