putting the nb with 5 G filter and then also inserting the separate 5 G filter you get a doubling of the filter value
however I must also say that if 5G ends at 3800 these products are useless because they filter at 3700

On a more reputable brand of a 5G Cband lnb the internal circuit design and suitably designed front ends are far more advanced than the cheaper Chinese offerings but are very expensive.

norsat is a quality product and it also charges well
and as they say in my country (the more you spend the less you spend) not if the translation is understood
norsat manufactures several filter models
so choose the right one

Seems easier to move house to one on a remote Island and use Starlink to keep the forum updated with a glee fest of "no 5G for me"
Starlink costs less than a Norsat anti 5G LNB, not sure about house prices though.

or even if it is not the right time to move to the Russian Federation
Still use them tp on the 3500 3600 and 5G doesn't exist right now

To assess: Because they are not supposed to work so well for you, how far away are the 5G transmitters? Would also be interested, so far I have Kaonsat 13k with medium clutter and the nearest station is 400m NW behind the Laminas 180s

Hi,
I'm interested in one for experimentation if the asking price & shipping to the UK is not a problem.
Everything else with PM please.

5G bothers me on my system the distance should be about 500 or 600 in front of the laminas The highway passes them and there are 3 mobile phone towers to give telephone service to both the road and the high-speed train that runs alongside the highway at the moment there are 3 of you interested I may have a 4 if anyone is interested but it's not mine it's a friend's

Didn't manage (as a new user?) to write a PM, what would you want for the LNB to Germany?

Thank you for the quick reply.
If the one of your friend is still available or any of the the other three do not sell, I will probably buy one subject to the price and shipping cost to the UK.

If you want to watch TV with a C-LNB under a 5G mobile base station, these are the only options available.

I have one of those External 5G filters Yang that you show in your picture from China , for the price they are well made and are quite effective for attenuating fairly aggressive 5G interference from 3.6GHz downwards [ depending how close and whether the dish is to the front, side or rear of the offending cell site ] - my problem here is nasty 5G interference on 3.685GHz from a cell site a 1/4 mile away, more or less in front of the dish view which is sneaking past the filter . I'm wondering if the type of external filter that i have could be re-tuned to raise the stop band up to 3.7GHz and loose some rx pass band ?.... might be a cheaper option than paying out again for a new filter.

For reference only, I have two possible solutions to this issue:
1..5G filters: many manufacturers offer two different specifications, one for £60 and the other for £120, with a reported 30 dB difference near 3.65 GHz. Although their appearance is identical, it is possible that they can solve the problem.
2..5G filters with frequency ranges of 3.7-4.2 GHz, 3.72-4.2 GHz, 3.75-4.2 GHz, 3.8-4.2 GHz, and 3.9-4.2 GHz are all available and should also be able to solve the issue.
However, there is a problem that salespeople often cannot accurately convey information to their bosses and engineers, so the products they provide may be uncertain.

Re: Point 2: - You are so right, a few days ago i made an enquiry to a sales rep of Chinese manufacturer of 5G External filters regarding the item cost plus shipping to the UK for a specific filter rx3.8 - 4.2GHz with a stop band from 3.4 to 3.7GHz that was listed with the model number etc for ordering purposes and with all the other information for the device. A reply came back asking for a particular requirement to be specified that was already in the product spec sheet catalogue number .... this flagged up alarm bells as to whether i would actually end up with the right product being delivered. It was also nearly three times the cost of the one i already had.
Ideally i need to have the opinion from an RF engineer who also possesses the RF test sets to see if a slight re-tune of the one i have, to increase the stop band from 3.65 up to 3.7 GHz is possible or not.
