Since returning from holiday, I've discovered that accessing the site via Tapatalk now presents me with Banner Ads (Chiefly Amazon related at present).

Has anyone else noticed this?

For me, Tapatalk was easier to use than normal access from PC or Netbook, but I find this "improvement" irritating to the point of distraction.

Used it once and quickly removed it from the phone as it almost stopped my phone from working, so no longer able to comment Gordon.

Not seeing any adverts on my versions, both paid for, so may be exempt, they have introduced monetisation since going free, have turned it off on another private installers' forum I co admin on.

Can you provide some screen shots Tivu?

Ain't it the way of the World? If I ever emote to one of my friends about the mindless ads on TV that are repeated every 10 mins; he (who works in advertising) bristles slightly then says; 'Have to pay for the programs somehow.'

A bit of Searching reveals some people with a Paid version are getting them erroneously and that a fix is in the offing.

As for Screenshot ................... hmm. I'll have to work out how to do it first! It's a 2/3 width rectangular Banner in Hi-Colour that appears at the bottom of the screen and it seems impervious to AdBlock for Android.

Haven't had a lot of playtime yet as still catching up on chores after hol, but I did come across a comment that it's Xenforo Forums that are the likely instigators.

Not getting any adverts here but I am a) using a paid version and b) using a rooted phone with an ad-blocker.

What? The shows made 20 years ago that ITV repeats over and over again? :-rofl2

Apparently there is a new android release which may resolve the issue of paid versions displaying ads, the trouble with the plugin on the forum is that there are only three choices, ads off, ads on for all or ads only for unregistered and as there is no longer a paid version it looks like most will see them. I've got Forum Runner installed on my wildlife forum and for that I can specify which groups see ads, but it isn't quite as usable as Tapatalk.

Thanks for all that, Rolf.

Will just have to live with it.

Pity, really, as the original need for me to block as much guff as possible started due to my slow Broadband. Although that problem remains, I have got used to an uncluttered Online Experience.

I can't see any adds on my iPhone (on free version) but I'm sure I noticed them on the android version though

As a side note, I have add blocker pro running on my PC as a chrome extention and it's not hiding the ads on the forum (not that fussed on here though as it's only forum sponsors and I sometimes give them a click to check out their offers)

Well I have to say that I don't actually notice the Ads any more.

What a waste of a bout of righteous indignation.
