Hi fellow cbandits ..
I finally managed to get a good lock on 2 of the Startimes TV Transponders at this location ...
Sadly nothing fta on them so ...although I now have 10deg locked into the Vbox ...I can't actually claim to have 'seen' anything form this position
Are there any currently active feeds I can take a look at ??
many thanks

hi - Vipersan -

i,v not had a chance to try until this morning --
and its the first try for a MPEG-4 signal in C band - as iv not had a h.d. reciever till a few weeks ago --
i can see a signal from all three Startimes transponders but only 3937 R 8800 gets a signal lock -- the MPEG 4 signal seems to need to be a lot better in quality to lock than the C band MPEG 2 signals that i have tried on other sats --
no feeds found as yet --

regards nelson.b

Thanks for the info Nelson..
I can only 'lock' on 3927 and 3937 ....but can scan channels from both transponders...
I get nothing from 3591 at all..
There is certainly some variation of the day regarding signal strength..
I'm currently using my AZbox HD for C band ...what HD box are you now using ?

I like the AZbox because it allows 4.2.2 feeds to be viewed ..
A nice box in many respects ..but is missing that essential feature ....hardware blind scan.
I've recently taken an interest in the OPenbox S9 HD ....which I believe does both 4.2.2 and 'claims' a hardware blind scan ..
Can't get any definitive confirmation on this ...even after scouring the www for info..
comments and revues tending to contradict each other

hi - i.m using a Spiderbox HD-9000 - it has blind search but no 4.2.2. ability
it has taken over from my TM 1500 ci as my general t.v. viewing receiver .

same as you i would like a H.D reciever that had both 4.2.2. and a good blind search -
i have no info on the - OPenbox S9 HD -- i must see if i can find any -

since febuary this year i,v been using a second hand chaparall co rotor l.n.b. for c band
and the results on my 1.8 offset dish have been good - on the whole it s equal to the pauxis / doctorofsat- plate setup that i was using before that -- the mechanical skew is controlled by the strong 4375 that i use to position my dish -
and the l.n.b signal is recieved by the Spiderbox HD or my Vantage 22X as they both have more sensitive tuners - than other receivers i,v used --

must update my profile details --

regards - nelson.b.

Hello Vipersat,

in Germany they found a decision for 4.2.2 with the Octagon SF1008HD maybe this helps?
