I have now run some tests on eight LNBs, including some of the favored types here in the forum like MTI Highline, Inverto Black Ultra Quad, Golden Media 202+ to Silvercrest (Lidl mysterious middle aisle brand). I have to admit that I am an amateur in this field, so handle the results accordingly. Here in my first post I will describe the setup.
I have used my fixed Gibertini 125 aimed at 28,2 E for the test, the position of the dish was not adjusted during the test. I mounted one LNB at the time and adjusted each LNB in the holder as it was connected to my meter (GTMEDIA V8 Finder PRO 2) to achieve maximum Signal and quality. I used 11344 MHz H/V transponders adjust the skew right for each LNB. I did the test when we had clear skies, in the afternoon (6 p,m.) when I expect the signal to be fairly stable. We usually have a drop in signal between 11 a.m. and 2 p,m.
For the test, I measured signal (S) and quality (Q) in the loop mood of the meter, measuring for five different transponders:
10714 H
10935 V
11126 V
10818 V
11305 H
I tried the following LNBs (time of purchase within brackets):
Durline +Ultra single (new)
Golden Media 202+ (new)
Inverto Premium single PLL (new)
Inverto Black Ultra quad (2015)
Schwaiger Single (2020)
MTI Highline twin (2011)
Silvercrest quad (Lidl middle aisle, 2010)
GTsat quad (2010)
