as you can guess im totally new to this and ive got some questions i hope someone will answer
ive been wanting to get some of those channels that show the premiership matches 3pm on saturdays etc. but i havent a clue how to go about it or if ive got the right equipment
ive just recently bought an analogue system which consisted of a 90cm dish and a "SR 1902 VC 999 channels stereo satellite receiver" decoder
the decoder also has this logo on it " DiSEqC 1.0 " whatever that means
now it doesn't have a card or card socket so i assume i can only get fta channels on it. i had it originally tuned to the astra satellite but that didnt seem much good for football ive been on the luvvly jubbly website which showed all the different matches and which satellites they could be found on but they all seemed to have some sort of encryption at least i assume thats what the writing beside them was eg.

What you have is an analogue receiver, so you will really need to upgrade to a digital receiver and possibly a motor of some sort.

Much of what is listed above is only available with a genuine subscription card, but some can be obtained, at least in the short term, by other means.

Have a look in the Matrix reloade section, then in the cards and programmers section for more information.

No the SKY system will not do for these channels. You need normal digital receiver.

If you go to lyngsat.com, you can check exactly what channels you can get. FTA analogue channels are colour coded white. I don't think you'll have much luck with footy. Some cup games are FTA on a German channel that may still have analogue transmissions. My receiver is doesn't have analogue so I've kind of lost touch with it, probably like the majority of people here.

Afraid not Fersy,
Don't get the ladder out just yet. Both TV Sport (Sirius 5 East) and the Turkish channel are both digital.
To get these channels you will have to upgrade to a digital receiver, ain't life a bitch.

Fersy - MPG or MPEG2 means a digital transmission

Any data that lists SR or FEC is not available to an analogue receiver, but I would be interested in what an SR 1902 is. very few analogue receivers state the DiSEqC logo, even 1.0 ( a 4 satellite system)
