As many of you will no doubt be aware, Sky refused to show the tackle, while I believe BBC did show it on Match of the Day in isolation from the game itself.

The following link is from Canal+ France, and shows the tackle in slow motion from various angles. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS VIDEO SHOWS THE TACKLE IN GRAPHIC DETAIL: http://www.d1g.com/video/show/1812517 (pause and wait for the video to buffer fully before playing)

When i watched it live i did not think the tackle was too bad but having seen that film Taylor should be banned for more than 3 games, as Arsene Wenger says " a man may only kill once but there is still a dead person", taylor was miles away from the ball!!

Well I have seen many mistimed tackles this season,
At what point does a tackle become a mis-timed tackle?
At what point does a mis-timed tackle become a bad tackle?, one that warrants a sending off.
At what point does a bad tackle become such a bad tackle as to deserve a three match ban?
I have seen many two footed tackles this season that the ref has not even blown his whistle let alone this incident which was a one footed tackle with his studs showing. So unless someone can create a system where there is consistency in ref's decisions you cannot apply willy nilly three match bans just because one player has more brittle bones than another. Don't get me wrong I am not saying anything against Eduardo but in sport these things occur and the players obviously think it is an acceptable risk when earning such vast amounts of money, or is somebody holding a gun at their heads?

Exactly, I find the insinuation that Taylor meant to do that laugable, to be honest.

Football is a contact sport, and in contact sports there will be mistakes/accidents which may result in long term injury, it's as simple as that.
