Please be aware that many cheap cards in the market at present will stop working before the 10/08/06
this is because many cards (about 50000) sold in Algeria just before the worldcup were only intended as replacement cards for local subscribers that weren't able to watch the worldcup and will expire very soon.
most of these card were imported from Marseille and colored white and blue without the (365j) reference at the bottom corner.

These cards are being offered at about £80 for the 6 channels ART 1 to 6.

As many suppliers know very well the cards cost well over that price for bulk buy of hundreds at a time.

We know this from very reliable ART sources in the Middle East.

Only 2 types of cards are legitimate.
If buying on ebay - ask first if the card is red or if the card is blue and has 2 logos of Al Jazeera and ART on it and has a the 365j reference at the bottom (that stands for 365 days)

Good luck

This doesn't sound good.
I've just bought a 12 months Art Sports card off eBay.
It's as you describe, blue with white at the bottom right.

Markings on card are as follows Carte Annuelle - Full Bouquet
Algeria:035684868 - Maroc:082000303-Tunisie:71862000

Pic here

The seller told me this card also carries Al-Jaz 1+2.
Hvaen't activated it yet.

No number, just 3 arrows showing which way card should be inserted.

The legitimate cards as we know them look like the pictures below. If you bought a different card you just have to wait and if by mid next month it stops you know you bought the wrong card.

You may ask how do we know this and how are we so sure?
Without going into details, this story is %99 accurate and from very reliable in-sources.

If you have bought the wrong card, I suggest you pray for that %1

I have the same "Carte Annuelle" as paul; why would it be printed as this if it actually wasn't?

I guess we'll see in a few weeks whether you're right or whether you're bluffing to boost your own sales....

the red cards are fine - they dont have the marking but they are fine
the only difference between the red card and the blue card is

the red card is for the sport channels only but the blue card is for the sport channels and other arabic pay channels in the package

I'm confused, the cards are self activating & don't rely on a signal being sent to switch them on/off. It just sounds odd that they would decide to switch off a prepaid self activating card.

I have one of the cards with the Al Jazeera logo & the 365j reference on it which cost me £115 delivered so £80 for the blue without AJsports doesn't seem excessively cheap.

No harm in waiting til the 11th August I suppose lol

I can confirm that the card pictured above clears only the ART Sports 1-6 and the "entertainment" channels - which of course I'd find useful if I spoke Arabic ;)

Carte Annuelle for me means that it's valid for a year after activation.

I still say a new poster with a business selling ART cards raises a flag for me. Trust No-one, Spooky Mulder once told me ;)

£80 for 1 year card is way cheaper than the price ART tariff for it's firsthand suppliers.
add to that, all new ART cards including the white, blue and also the reds (pics above) are replaceable and also exchangable - so in other words - all new prepaid cards in exception of the old all white cards can be acitivated deactivated replaced and even stopped for no reason if payment problems or dodgy deals appear in the supply chain

We have received a batch of 300 cards from a dodgy looking dude for £52 per card - almost half what we pay - we knew about these cards before they appear, these cards supposed to replace some cards in Algeria for the world cup, we did not want the risk because we had a warning not to be tempted just few weeks before.

If you check the card slot in your system information you'll find an activation date AND a termination date for your card. If you don't have a full 12 months subscription & paid by p*yp*l (normal for sleezebay) you'll have no problems getting a full refund.

The company that sold me my blue card with Al Jazeera logo didn't make much profit then  Either that or there is something sinister about this thread.

Lee,
So it definitely doesn't clear Al Jazeera 1+2?

mine doesn't; my last rescan was fairly recent but as I flash-erased last night, I could try again.....

I should have said "the version of the card pictured above" - it seems there's one perhaps with Al J? I read something along those lines on 'dudez.....

How on earth a card cost £60 for 1 year ART Sport 1 to 6 + Al Jazeera 1 & 2 from 1 internet company that has to pay taxes, credit card charges and maybe VAT and also push some profit on this popular card - Dont seem a dodgy deal, think again
