My Satellite Setup
A large oval dish approx 75 x 85 cms. into a satellite receiver. I have just bought another tuner as the remote was lost and i was not sure it was working properly. Now an Arrox STR-9400.

I have just purchased a new sat receiver (first the remote was lost and I also thought it had some other problem) and have found all the channels that can be found on the hotbird satellite which I now understand is renamed eurostat. However the one programme that is required, Thai Television, for my thai partner, shows in three places but all have info that the frequency has changed i.e. 10815 (from I think 12200 something) I just don't know how to find it or tune it and suspect it may even be on another satellite. The whole Thai community here is also confused and cannot find it. Can anyone help??
My dish is a fixed one so it may require pointing it somewhere else - but where??

Welcome to the forum.

Looks like the aforementioned channel is on 10.815h, 27500, 5/6 Hotbird. The label on 12.207 says info card (flysat and Lyngsat).

Try a re-scan or an individual transponder scan on the above freq.

The operational Hotbirds are still known as Hotbirds. Its just the older Hotties that have been renamed as they have been withdrawn from 13E and sent elsewhere along the orbital arc to earn their keep :)

TGN is still there - 10815H 27500 5/6.

This is a new digital frequency so wont be in the receiver memory, so have a look through the menus and add this transponder to the receiver database.

Sorry to sound ignorant but I don't see in the menu how to add that transponder to the receivers database. I have looked at all the frequencies that have channels on them and that, as you say is not included. There seems to be an opportunity to change the frequency on the LNB but it does not include that one. As I say, none of the Thai community (it is quite large even her in Cornwall and all have contacts elsewhere) have found how to do it either. Please for the idiot tell me how to do it. Thanks for your speedy and obvious help. Life, love, peace and freedom Pete Le M

PS I have only just bought this receiver and it is described as "New geberation"! It is called an Arrox STR-9400 but but the instruction are very limited and mostly in a language I have not even identified yet.
