Did you find a suitable reflector for your own needs ? I do have an Orbital 1m dish here, unused but you would have to drive a long way to collect.

They’re quite rare over here those Famavals aren’t they? Seem to be popular with ex-pats.

I am going to have a look at a 100cm dish tomorrow. Nearest I have found, just over 50 miles away.

1.8m IRTE for sale again

Although this is called a 1.8 IRTE - it is identical in all respects - exept the feed / l.n.b holder - to the- Alcoa 1.8 that my self and "Vipersan" own ? ... they are a very sturdy / heavy duty setup

Go see your local car body shop - shouldn't take much for a good panel-beater to gently tease that crease out !

OTOH, from what I've read here about STAB motors, I'd be wary of that part.

Love stab motors here

First one lasted 20 years plus. Still has usable parts.

Second one was second hand but serial number predated my original one still going strong although it did get a strip down backlash sorted and regreased.

And ive another on the shelf :Y

Whilst it may possibly be an IRTE reflector, the polarmount with 3.5" mounting point would not have beem made in Italy.
(The true focal distance should also be near 740mm, not 756mm on a true 1800mm reflector with 0.41 f/d)

Megasat must have gone to the wall well over 20 years ago, so expect fun when dismantling and sourcing replacement parts (feedhorn clamping/bearings) that fit.

The only difference, between a Prime Focus dish, and an Offset dish, is where the signal, reflected off the dish, is focussed.

I know of at least two top UK men on the forum who have used a PF dish with dual band LNB setups on them.
There should be pictures somewhere on the forum but it might be a bit of a trawl to find them.

The coned scalar component on a 40mm LNBF will probably not be matched to the parabolic profile of a PF dish.
It will still gather signal, but not as much as the more flat scalar generally used with PF dishes.

Ku / C / Ka but fabrication skills required.
Or an off the shelf Chaparral ku/C feed with added lnb's.
