Getting cheaper by the month

of course it is, they want rid of it, and no-one wants it. it will end up in a skip or down the dump - or sold for 50 quid to someone with lots of land and time.

Is anyone here the new owner of this Precision 1.8M & polar mount? I was thinking of bidding but the auction was ended early.

Channel Master 1.2M + polar mount in Kent £1 start price. Polar mount looks like it has been peeled off the pole :confused

Not me, fantastic value for whoever bought it though if it sold remotely close to the bidding price.
Came with an original Precision triangular frame polar mount with M16 bearings that kicks the shít outta them meccano mounts that get passed off as polar mounts.

I saw that one as well, looked in great condition and came with both C-Band and Ku-Band feed support arms.
Nice to see another stonking bargain from the Precision dish range go to a forum member who will care for it and give it the use it deserves.

Throb On !
That dish looks top class, the Precision logo on it adds very nicely to the presentation.

Looking forward to the signal reports from it.

Not a big dish or a bargain but an ex-SIS LIVE Upod motorised dish from an OB van. No sign of the control hardware but sounds like the seller may still have it.

Based on the two uPOD desinged systems I have seen, somebody has driven the van under a low bridge.

NEC style polarmount so it will take more than just de-construction and de-corroding to bring back to life. As a fixed dish it has a lot of potential.

The reflector doesn't look to badly damaged, for somebody living local that wants the best 1.5m reflector out there they could do a lot worse.

An interesting positioner and stand for somebody near Reading, useful for dish experimentation or first foray into motorising. These can be driven east/west with a car battery.

Maplins sold these in the 90's, utter crap! First gust of wind it goes out of alignment, plus watching anything is near on impossible, it's just like a meccano toy..

Old style Ferguson / IRTE polarmount wth a Precision dish, the worst of both worlds.
