I consulted my friend Watson and the answer appears to be that air is displacing the oil during the quiescent hours, so it won't flash up first go in the morning.But the O Ring is very specific so I shall be trawling all the Heating and Plumbing shops this pm. Hoping to fix it for mere pennies. But if I can't get a seal, a new pump is £60 and I'd need an "Engineer" to set the pressure. Ouch.</blockquote>
