More importantly it's a valuable resource for paying my bills, some of which have to be dealt with from my UK bank account. I could go up to the sisters along the road in an 'internet outage' emergency but it's hardly like popping next door.I suspect your local BT exchange is unmanned, hence the delay in repairing the equipment. A big difference from when I worked for them when unmanned rural exchanges were not all that common. A huge difference from South Kensington where I was based, staffed 24/7.</blockquote>
