Dear Forum

I successfully updated my Fortec Star Innovation to receive HD channels when they launched a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the BBC1 HD and BBC HD now appear on the program guide but there is no signal, I think this is the result of the DVB-S2 change. I have followed various threads here at satellites.co.uk but to no avail.
Could someone please point me in the right direction.

Kind regards Robfish

Have you tried re-scanning? This receiver should be DVB-S2 compatible.

Oops, sorry - that's not a channel list, it's a howto for the Passions, but the same principle should apply for the Innovation.

Thanks Captain Jack and Llew, I've tried rescan but it makes no difference. I've also run through the TP edit in that HD.zip file and I still have the 'no signal' sign where I want a BBCHD channel. The only difference between my settings and the ones in the hd.zip file is that I'm on Astra 2A and they r on 2D.

Kind regards Rob

Have you deleted the "old" BBC HD entries?

As far as what your Satellite List is called, it shouldn't matter: To eliminate any confusion, perhaps edit the name from "Astra 2A" to "UK" or similar.

Hi Tivu
I haven't deleted the old entries, I'm not sure what to delete?

That might (or might not!) be the problem ..... new scan sees same label and thinks "Hmm, got that already". Boxes can be pernickety like that.

Not sure of the key sequence to delete Channels on your box, but there will be Edit features somewhere in the menu: Best wait until Llew or another Fortec Star owner pops along.

I used the channel editor Setedit Passion for editing channels. You can use it for the Innovation too.

I don't have the box up and running at present, so I'm using the manual as a reminder -

Press SAT button to choose your satellite

Press Mosaic button. Now you can Edit, Sort or Delete the particular channel.

To delete the BBC HD channel(s), find the frequency that the unwanted channel(s) is/are on and press RED button. OK to confirm.

I think the Blue button allows you to move the new channel to the now vacated position. It's a while since I used this method to delete channels, there's probably an easier way via the Menu - as I said I always used Setedit.

I haven't managed to delete any channels although fiddling with the antenna settings I now have a old channel list with only BBCHD at ch1 rather than two bbc hd channels around channel 30ish. Still no signal for bbc hd and I've lost itvhd.
Feeling completely out of my depth now, maybe its time for a new box configured for the present signals.

Try a full system reset then rescan.

That will sort it out even if its a bit drastic.
