Hi guys,

I'm no mechanical engineer (I bearly remember lagranges equations for classical mechanics during my Physics studies) LOL.

In the past I had a Fraccaro Penta Digit (624 mm x 624 mm) with a motor. The motor must weigh a fair bit (like at least 2-3 kg). I never had problems with this config on my chimney in high winds.

I've now decided to ditch the motor and have two dishes (a small 60 cm one and currently the penta digit without the motor). I've actually ordered the bigger Fraccaro Penta 85 (775 mm x 775 mm) to potentially replace the Fraccaro Penta Digit.

The wind loading at 150 km/h is 53 kg for the Penta Digit and 81 kg for the Penta 85. Since I never plan to use the motor, I'm wondering if the wind loading between my old setup with the motor will be much different to the larger dish without the motor.

Any ideas ?

:)

Two fixed dishes. The smaller one with inverto multiconnect, and on the bigger one, I may put 26e in addition to 28e.

Are you sure you can get 26E on a dish that small from there?

Yes, I could get 26e with the smaller Penta, but not all the transponders, and the signal quality was at 40 % on the transponders I could get -- I think the bigger Penta dish may pull in a few more transponders.

Well this nutter here has had five singles on the multiconnect on a Zone 2 MTI $ky dish, ad say in the bracket with all that on it was about 1.5 kg tops as the singles are very light compared to more common single lnbs.
