According to wikipedia, German newspaper Bild is the best selling tabloid in Europe, and is similar in style to The Sun. Perhaps Bild has been buoyed on by the success of GB News?

That reference to "The Sun" "says it all" - avoid, delete, block ASAP! :-rofl2

I always found it interesting that Germany doesn't have any rolling news channels. They have several which show some news with a lot of prerecorded stuff and documentaries but nothing like in the UK or France. Not surprised Bild thinks there's a gap in the market. Their tagline seems to be "24/7, meinungsstark und live-haftig" : 24/7, opinionated and live... Bit of a tricky pun to translate - leibhaftig means in the flesh / personified so I guess they mean that it's "live and in the flesh".

Well whatever it is, it would be nice to have an HD version, you take anything you can get when you are learning German;)

to learn German,ARD1 das erste is by far better in language & program quality!
the early afternoon segment is very good, daily life, home & advice about daily issues
Bild is really crap! Would I learn English by reading the Sun?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

3sat used to be good for learning since they put plenty of UK programmes in the original soundtrack with German subtitles.

They had to convert a few, in particular Monty Python episodes.

BILD HD promo loop started a couple of days ago. Lots of emphasis on war, protests, riots and disasters:

I think it literally means: attached to live, programming in this case.

I’ve thought the same.
You would think, they would have at least one rolling news channel, from the PSB broadcasters.
