hi,

i got a Humax VA-ACE+ that take more then 3 hours to do a full blind scan on KU, is this normal ?

yes im afraid so sae for me on my technomate
so i got a skystar2 pci card for pc only takes about 10mins to scan a sat

it almost 3 hours now but its still half way there but my cheep Dynasat (a Chinese clone) take only less then 5 min and it pic up all the channels, but the humax take for every but still miss some channels, any ida what must be the prb ?

use the quick scan option in automatic search
humax missed always (i dont know why) a few frequency
ad manualy is the only option or use HnfSmart24fix2 to upload channels list
see lyngsat for missed frequency

i dont see any option call "quick scan" with humax, only a option to skip the encrypted channel scan :(

i think humax miss some channels coz of some symbolic rate at not scan by humax.

hi the best reciver is humax with blind scan and conax embeded & with 1 ci slot, all in one.

i got it from dubai. go for it. its the best.

try unitiplaza & check hit-add (that comes with Sunday Times) i have seen few add that say they got DVB cards for sale. it will be around Rs.10,000 or so. better to get a STB (Rs.5000) and get a TV card to the PC so you can connect the STB via TV card to your PC.
