Hi allSo I bought a Vu+ Duo a couple of weeks ago.played around with some channel lists and settled with catseyes.I did loads of editing on dreambox edit and got it how I like it, loaded it to my stb, and the next day a new list was released. Is there any way of just updating the bits that have changed so I don't have to do all that editing again? Can I do it via the stb, if so how?I believe the satellite xml file is the one that changes. So could i download the latest bouquet, replace the old xml file with the new one and stick it back on the stb, thereby keeping the bouquet how i like it?I really don't want to spend all that time editing the latest release.I have a motorised system, am I right in thinking that the Vu+ only has a 10 000There are loads more channels on the motorised catseye bouquet so loads of editing is required? Thanks for your help

Hi,

No the Sat.xml file just holds the Data for the satellite positions and nothing else, all the channels are arranged into bouquets and so i am sorry to say you will have to re-edit either with Dreambox edit or another similar program. And again you cannot just upload the parts you require it would have to be edited again.

Yes you can edit via the remote control when on the channel list just press the menu button this will give you all the editing options, Lastly all E2 receivers have an unlimited channel memory

Thanks for your reply. So each time a new channel list comes out i have to start from scratch?I also thought you could download changes, send then to your box and then do a manual scan.If you do a manual scan would it overwrite thebouquet with all the channels i can receive?

the people that create the Bouquets like Sgtflipflop and catseye just use the new transponder data from either kingofsat or lyngsat, flysat and then every few weeks update the bouquets themselves to reflect the changes to transponder info or channels started or channels gone. Its a lot of hard work and my hat gets tipped to these people who create them as it is very time consuming if you had to start from scratch yourself.

The only real way of getting channels you can receive is starting from a blank canvas and scanning them yourself then using one of the channel editors and sorting them out.

If you did a manual scan and ticked clear before scan on any satellite yes it does clear all data and just leaves the channels in you can pick up but you would have to organise the order yourself

Thanks again. So if i didn't tick clear before scan would it only update the channels in my bouquet, ignoring the ones that aren't?I don't want to get all the channels i can receive, just want the simplest method of updating my bouquet every time there is an update.
