I'm sure sonnetpete had one or am i getting my brain in a muddle again.

Its definately cheaper than i can get one for now anyway.

I think My WS International c band lnb & Scalar ring kit came in at about £25 from the States but i can't find them that cheap anymore.

I would go with CDTronix on this one. just make sure the lnb advertised is the one you will get.

Wasn't there someone on here that bought a C band LNB from China/Thailand and it was terrible?

Did somone call?......

Yes, I did have one and got it through CDTronix IIRC. It worked well enough for 40°E on a 1M Gibi but I couldn't lash it up properly on the motorised Laminas to experiment further. ATM it's languishing in the spares drawer until both Spring arrives and a proper feedarm for the Laminas.

I do remember the thread about the Chinese LNB but can't think who it was....

yes --
i,v used 2 of them on my setup this year and i,m pleased with the results --
i started out with the chinese pauxis and it was ok but the 421 is notably better
the ESX241 that pride21 uses is also good - and gives him good results on his setup

cheers .

That was me :-lmao

I sold it on ebay in the end, losing about £5 all in all. It worked Ok with a big prime focus dish but not with my 1.1m triax dish. Couldn't get knob all with it. The WS international one is OK though.

I've got the scalar ring here and lashed it onto my 241/1m Gib to get 3675R on 40E but like Pete it's going to need some metalbashing to get it to fix properly. I've tried looking for 20E on my 1.2m, it's very close to the top of a now bald tree and although I can see well defined peaks in the spectrum they aren't strong enough to lock.

I've got one of those on my dish for linear. Not bad for signal but very cheaply made. The Zinwells feel a lot more substantial and reception is more or less the same.

The kit AS posted a link to looks pretty good value though and you get the clamp which saves quite a bit of work/thought.
