I think they're probably very similar. The BSC LNBF and BSC Scalar rings are exactly the same as I bought a couple of weeks back from a Forum sponsor and they appear to work well. However, I only had a short time to experiment and they're now back in the drawer until later. I'm certain someone else on here has bought the other 'combo'. Hopefully they'll share an opinion of them with you in due course.

Before I start throwing money about would the pieces of gear from the USA be suitable for my 1.8 C/M offset dish,

ESX241 C Band LNBF.

WSKU2C Kit Conical Scalar & Holder.

or would these one’s which I can obtain from the UK do the same job?

BSC421 C Band LNBF

BSC Conical Scalar Kit.

Thanks,

hi - on my offset 1.8 channel master i,m using

BSC421 C Band LNBF -
BSC Conical Scalar Kit. -
mine were puchased from USA - but if you can purchase here - fair enough

the conical scalar is exactly the same - to my knowledge .

i,m getting good all round results from mine --

Vipersan has used "both" those l.n.bs on his 1.8 prime focus
- so may comment on his results when he logs in later:)

cheers --

I've got an ESX. It performs ok, probably about the same as my Zinwells. Nothing magic about it (or any other LN:cool: though that would make a 1.8m dish perform like a 2.4m.

Hi Joe ..
Not a great deal to choose between those 2 lnbs ..
If anything tho 'the esx appears slightly better when used on Linear transponders ..
..but when it comes to circular ..they are very very similar.
I don't think there's any real gain difference ...but perhaps the ESX has mariginally better stability accross the spectrum.

Your mention of Zinwell has set me on another Google rampage
and all bets are off until I check on Zinwell.
Well I've got both and I can't split the two. MER is pretty much the same on all channels.

As I said above though, the only thing that is going to make any sort of marked difference is going up in dish diameter, and to be honest, unless there is something in particular you are scoping for, doing that is just chasing the end of the rainbow.
