In the town: Paraclipse Hydro, D = 228,6cm {37,5W - 85,2E}; 24'' PowerTech Actuator; Power Tech GBOX V2000 positioner; Dreambox DM500s; Drake ESR 300s; Paraclipse Eclipse, D = 310,0cm {45,0W - 96,5E}; 36'' PowerTech Actuator; PowerTech GBOX V3000;

Hello, all ! Now I' receiving more than 6000 TV and 2000 radio channels in Ku-Band in the range between 37,5W and 85,0E with my motorised Paraclipse Hydro 240cm Dish and Inverto BlackPro LNB, but I am planning to move my satellite setup to my home village, where I have good horizont (maybe 45W <-- --> 100,5E) and I'm going to buy a Paraclipse Eclipse dish (310cm). I wonder how many channels on which birds I can receive (I am from Bulgaria)... Maybe the strongest signal on C-Band is the Libyan package on Atlantic Bird 3 @ 5,0W... :)

Hi Federer ..
Being from the UK ..I can't comment on what you will be able to receive in C-band at your location ...
Though I suspect it will be predominantly The Eastern satellites ...
If you do decide to go down the route of equipping such a large dish for Cband reception ..pictures of anything you manage to 'capture' are always welcome.
Good luck

Hello federer

I live in N of Romania and I can tell you that with a 310cm dish you can receive most of the C band satellites

Do you currently have a C-band setup? If so what additional C-band channels did you want to receive? If you don't currently have C-band why not just add a C-band LNB to your 2.4m dish to see what it is all about?

Yes, my dish is very good for C-Band reception, but the 310cm Paraclipse dish is coming this week, so I'm waiting. :)

I am jalous of your new installation! I have a 2.4m motorised dish in Western Greece (C-Ku band) and I receive many satellites in C band, so with 3.10m reception would be even better, receiving also most eastern satellites that I cannot receive. How much the dish has costed (in euros)? If you want to ask about reception of C band satellites in the area I can tell you...if I found how to subscribe in this thread as I am not a daily visitor of the forum...

I mean to be informed by email if someone responds to this thread and it is done.... (maybe it is default on the forum...), so no problem.

Do you receive the satellites on 83,0E and 93,0E in Ku-Band (many Indian Free-to-air channels), Express on 96,5E in C/Ku Band and 100,5E on C-Band? My dish is Paraclipse Eclipse mesh dish. What LNBs you are using? Do you use dual feed and how much does it costs? I think it's expensive...

I have replied here 3 days ago, but it didnt apear...
I receive 83E ku band but not all frequencies (depending on hours or how I fix the skew of the LN:cool:
I also used to receive 93.5E Ku but only for some hours, the dish is partly obstructed by the neighboor's house and it is the East limit of my reception (in C band I receive many frequences all day). 96.5E and 100.5E I dont receive, those sat are below my horizon as I am in Western Greece

Yes, I receive perfectly the Kenyan mux on 57 East african beam
I also receive the russian beam of Intelsat 17-66 East, but unfortunatelly not the african beam
On Astra2D I receive all horizontal pol. but nothing on vertical
Badr6 is worst than at the beginning, I receive all frequencies at night but nothing in the morning, the rest of the day it depends on the frequency
Finally on Badr 5 I receive only one frequency of panarabean bean (11785V) and nothing else!
In fact I am located on North-Western Greece

I think it's imposible to receive the horizontals of Astra 2D @ 28,2*E, but not the verticals...

In Greece the horizontals are stronger... same in Cyprus.

Depends on where about in Greece. In the NW the H's are much stronger than the V's. Indeed i don't know anybody that receives any V. In the SE it's the opposite. In between you will need extremely large dishes >>3.70m to see activity without stable reception on any of them.
