Cable connection for smartmose/phoenix

Hello

This is my first post in this forum Hello to all forum members and moderators

I Just Bought Smart mouse / Phoenix Programmer (Connected to my PC com port) with Straight serial cable (all pins connected 1 - 9 / 1 -9 )
I Put my opos 1.05 card Chip face down but keep getting Message ( no response from card. check cables and writer.)
Can anyone please explain what type of cable i need to connect to pC
with Smartmouse/Phoenix programmer. (Pin Configuration)
any help will solve my problem thanks and goodluck

Triple Dragon, Dreambox 8000, Echostar AD3000ip, TBS6522,6925,6983 PCie cards.
Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

Hi simon, welcome to the forum.

Yes, use the straight RS232 cable for your programmer, and set to Phoenix mode, crystal to 3.58.

If still no go, card contacts dirty?

My Smartmouse / Phoenix Connected with Straight 1-9 / 1-9 cable and
the opos card 1.05 is brand new - smart mouse setting (phoenix mode - 3.5 Mhz) Powered with 12V Adapter. I tried in Three Different PC But No communication with Card - Tried Different Cables Also.

Don't know which one you have, but there are some cloned Opus cards around (without the hologram) that could be iffy, although having said that, mine hasn't the hologram, and works OK (so far).

Maybe you should return it to the supplier for replacement.
