Can I receive European channels in India

Hi,

I have Kaon-i260mco supplied by Dishnet India which is at present focused at NSS6, 98 deg East.

I am only able to receive Indian free to air channels, what should I do to receive European English free to air channel

Do I have to upgrade software
or Do I have to crack the code.

Pls advise since I am new to this.

You may get a few channels off 13E Hotbird with a very big dish - 10 feet or so minimum. Theres a few threads about it on the forum. Not much fta in English though

If you want the proper English services off the 28E satellites which are beamed for the UK you need to move to north western Europe - there is no chance in India.

Movies are one of the big draws for satellite operators - they bring in subscribers. There is no chance of finding fta channels showing big movies

Now you are having a laugh you should know that all satellite transmission of adult channels which can be received in your region have been blocked by all the governments in the region. :-bash

There is another satellite Badr2 (earlier arabsat2). Check this satellite at 25degrees east.. This is available in Ku band in India.. there are few english channels also.. check www.lyngsat.com/badr2.html and also check coverage.. Hope you receive it.

Plese tell me the size of dish you are using and also which card you are using to watching these channels ?

the MBC2 channels shows which type of movies? is there any adult movies at night on this channel?

I am in Goa and using a 90cm KU dish
any free to air satellite receiver or even your dishtv satellite reciver will do as all these channels are free to air on badr 2. So there is no card to be used.
these are channels ment for the middleeast viewers and therefore there are not adult content on any of these channels.

No. to receive another satellite you will require another dish, You can receive with 90cm LM1 Ku band satellite only south beam. check www.lyngsat.com or www.flysat.com
On Badr 2 new english FTA Channel KTV 2 from Kuwait.
