Hi friends ..
Here's an oddity ..
This transponder is not listed on Lyngsat ...Flysat ...or KingofSat ..
Not surprising as its an oddity..
Its definately there and has many channels in the mux ..all encrypted I think..
Freq -3726V
Sr- 22499
FEC 3/4
DVBS2 8PSK ..
Encryption ...err anyones guess ...but the F15 logs it in ..
What it doesn't do is assign Channel names and Idents ...
In fact it looks ..when examined by the TBS6925 card ...as though its behaving like DigiCypher..so technically the F15 cannot lock it ...BUT it does ?
Dual encryption / format ...well I suppose its possible ...but Scientific Atlanta DGC and DVBS2 are poles apart and incompatible ...so ..just _what_ is this mux ..and why is it not listed by anyone ..
Here is a TBS card capture or 2 ...perhaps someone else knows what this actually is ..
The F15 lists it as Caracol ...the TBS card Scientific Atlanta ..
???
and I'm _very_confused ..

Perhaps this is one of the dodgy pirate sat relays that have sprung up short term before, although I would be surprised as it is C band, not widely used in Europe, I did say it was only a guess..............................

Pretty sure this is genuine ...possibly PowerVU+ ...
I belive Scientific Atlanta are responsible for this format ..
Maybe a cable head end feed from south america to spanish speaking mainland europe ...
A sort of encrypted proprietory format 'dvbt' relay ..
just a thought..

..Ok ..this is getting more odd ..
the first channel in the mux is FXHD with spanish overdub announcer ...
I know this because ..the F15 has it listed as 'unencrypted' ..which I suppose it is ..well in part that is ..
Even though the signal doesn't drop out at all ..a constant 8db ish ..the audio/video is broken an fragmented ..
In on of the images I'm posting you can clearly see the F15 reports no audio/video ..though the signal level _never_ changes ..
This looks and behaves like Digicypher ...insofar as the keys are transmitted on the pilot channel ..thus the streams constantly appear to go in and out of lock ...when viewed with the stream analyser using the TBS card ..
So it behaves like Digicypher ..but is clearly partly dvbs compatible to some degree ..
This signal is some sort of hybrid I think ..
bizarre ..and I'm happy and confused to have discovered it ..
here are the pics ..
See for yourself ..

Indeed VS you are correct this is the uplink for Caracol Televisión it is a Colombian private national television network, owned by Julio Mario Santo Domingo.

Nicely Done Topper ..
appreciated m8 ..

meantime constant tweaking and rescanning finally yielded results ..
I'm guessing 8db simply isn't enough signal to maintain a constant stream lock on whatever format this is ..
I have now got a result of sorts ..
The Mux consists of 19 Channels ..
The first one is currently fta ..
all others are encypted ..presumably in a powervu variant..

1 FXHD (FX251)
2 Baby TV (BB150)
3 Universal West
4 FX Latam (FX153)
5 Sci Fi Latam (SF154)
6 Sci Fi Brasil (SF15)
7 Nat Geo Brasil (NG)
8 FX Chile (FX157)
9 Bem Simples (BEMS)
10 FOX West MPEG4 DOB
11 FOX West MPEG4 DOB
12 FOX West MPEG4 SUB
13 FOX West MPEG4 SUB
14 OS Download (S3)
15 Nat Geo Wild HD (NG)
16 Ultisima West (UT1)
17 Fox Chile (FX157)
18 Nat Geo West (NG 165)
19 Nat Geo Andean (NG1)

Looks like the mystery is solved ..

This transponder replaces the one listed
3729 V
tp 1

DVB-S2
16660-?
8PSK

Which carried 10 channels ..
since the freq and SR change it now carries 19 channels including FXHD (currently fta) ..now its

Freq -3726V
Sr- 22499
FEC 3/4
DVBS2 8PSK

-----------------------------------------

Also the mux on :-
3712 V
tp 1 Fox International Channels DVB-S 14810-5/6

Has changed ...(originally listed carrying 5 Channels)

Now only carrying three ..
is no longer at 3712V ..

Now at :-
Freq 3707 V
SR 6670
FEC 5/6
DVBS QPSK

..and only carrying 3 Channels

So ..I haven't discovered new transponders ..
Just juggling and reassignment due to changes by Caracol

I always thought Transponders were fixed ..?
So either they can switch one frequency off ..and turn on one closely adjacent ..
..Or..
They can be tweaked to frequency shift sideways ..
3712 becomes 3707
3729 becomes 3726
