Channel hel for a newbie..HOTBIRD 13 E

Ok, Ive got everything installed and working- I have HOTBIRD 13 E AND ASTRA 1 But...

When should I link the box to my PC and 'flash' it?

How often should I 'flash it' ??

How do I 'flash' it?

Basically my system is downstairs and PC upstairs so I'll need to unplug it every time I wish to do this..Is this safe or will I lose all my settings etc??

Also I have the ART SPORTS 1-6 with Al Jazeri 1+2..but in my listings it only shows art sports 1-4 and I can only find 1 channel which is AL JAZERRI...?? Can anybody shed any light?

Also Ive heard I can get movie channels which sometimes shows films in english, but I need to plug my box in to the PC first do I ??

Sorry if the questions sound stupid but I really want to know how 2 get the best out of it!!

If you want ART theres no point flashing the receiver - it wont give you anything else. Just try rescanning the ART transponder (whichever frequency carries the ART football channels. Not being a footy fan I dont keep up with the ART frequencies.)
