My 1m Channel Master is currently setup with a standard CM Offset Feedhorn and C120 LNB at 24.5w.

I would like to try C-band at anywhere around 20-30w. Seen a post from back last year on how to make an adapter for the 60cm collar used C-Band LNB's for CM dishes.

Anyone with a similar setup had any experience with reception on the satellites at 20-30w?

Especially intrested in the CNN feeds on NSS 5 at 20w or NSS 7 at 22w, what's the likely hood I can receive these with no break up?

The cdronix seems a good price for their C-Band LNB kit.

hi -
sorry to say i dont think you have much chance with the C band CNN feeds at 20 or 22 west with 1 metre -
( the signals are just not strong enough for 1 metre) -i,v looked at both these sats tonight and i ,m getting 2 t.p.,s at 22 west with a good signal on a 1.8 c.m. - 4115 L and 4179 R but i dont think even those would pick up on less than 1.2
i will check again in better weather and report back - i have had Cnn channels from these sats in the past but only
on the big dish --
cheers nelson.b.

Hello,

CNN Feed has left NSS 7 @22°W 3931 L and on NSS 5 @20°W 3983 R a bigger dish is needed.

Best Regards

Can you post some snapshots of the channels on that TP?

Thanks for the replies all, think its best I keep her on 24.5w for KU for now then.

Will see what appears when SES-4 is at 22w.

I agree totally with Edgar ..
Sadly Nothing at all _ever_ from 20W ..
CNN at 22West was always do-able on a 1.8 ...but has sadly left this bird ..so can no longer get a sniff of it
