The second picture shows just how deep the marks were originally, a liquid solution not only takes off a damaged cover coat, it also 'deburrs' a remaining dent, or scratch, plus filling in some of the pits with a transparent cover.Those old enough to remember will know of the trick of smearing a small amount of vaseline on 78's to mask the worst of the scratches.
