I changed my cctv set up to hd as the the old system needed a new hdd and the led's on 2 cameras were half gone. I have installed 3 of the cameras but the 4th is ladder work and I am waiting for a better day to change it. They all worked fine but the old camera now shows up as CVBS and a blank screen. I can wait until I fit the new camera but I was curious.

CVBS could mean a couple of things, one is Composite Video Baseband Signal, others are Color Video Blanking Signal, Composite Video Blanking and Sync or Composite Video Burst Signal.

I would say it's the first one, it could be that the old cameras video baseband signal does not fit in with the new DVR's input requirements, or there is a problem with that cameras video output, like AC line noise or buzz on the coax is causing the video to go out of sync.
