A customer has one of these http://www.dell.com/us/dfh/p/inspiron-one-19/pd (their version does not have the webcam though) It's gone wrong, specifically the power supply - a simple single 18volt output SMPS running at over 6A delivery has failed, and I've already taken out and replaced the two electolytics that look and weigh less than they should (two 820uF's in tandem). There is one company supplying a repair kit, but it is from the US http://www.ebay.com/itm/Repair-Kit-Dell-W01B-LCD-Monitor-Capacitors-Only-Not-the-Entire-Board-/330745156651 I would normally order the kit, however it's going to cost almost £30 to get it here before the end of next weekend. I would prefer to get this turned around before the weekend is over as the client is pushing (and this machine is taking up a lot of space) Does anyone else know what is likely to have gone before I plug her back in ? I may even resort to a full replacement power supply but the two I can find are already second hand and £100 a go. Cheaper to fit an external supply, which is what I've recommended, seeing how the dust has already clogged up the fan intakes almost completely inside two years of operation. Thanks in advance.
