Having purchased the Diablo/Cas 3, the seller had their own forums.
Great for support I thought?

Diablo worked fine, but now a new key is required.

Posted a simple question, of a link to detailed instructions how to do it, in one of their threads. Me being a total novice.

Hey got an update notification of that discussion, Great :)

Checked the thread, no reference to my question?
In fact, my question has just been deleted? 'O'-red
Great Help Huh! :confused

Does anyone know of a link to instructions of how to do it?
Before this stuff goes to ebay!

Hi mick2me,

Don't worry updating the Diablo Cam in a Cas 3 + is very easy, and you have a good programmer for future requirements.
First you need to ensure you have the latest firmware for your Diablo Cam, the firmware is known as Stealth files, the latest being stealth241.dup.
Usually these files are compressed using winzip or winrar so require uncompressing before use.
Once you have this I have found it easiest to copy and paste the file on the computer desktop, makes it easier to find.
If you haven't already you will also need to install the latest software for your Cas 3, currently CIS 8.3a, available from duolabs.com, go to their home page, click on the downloads link and Cas Interface 3.
I'll now attempt to do a few guides on how to use your Cas 3 and Diablo Cam.

1 Getting Started.
Gently insert your Diablo Cam into your Cas 3, with the label pointing upwards.
Start up your Cas 3 software, click on the link on your desktop.
You should now have the Cas Studio software running.
At the top click on the Cam Module tab.
Click on the Diabo Cam icon, and then on the second Diablo Cam icon.
You will now see the Diablo Cam software.

2 Formatting your Cam
It is always wise to format your Cam before loading a new Stealth file, but only for loading a new Stealth file, if your Cam already has the latest Stealth loaded ignore this step, and the next step.
Click on the Cam Disk Functions tab.
Now click on Format, yes, and wait for the Cam to be formatted.

3 Loading a new Stealth file.
Click on the Upgrade Cam tab.
At the end of the blank address bar click on the square icon with 3 dots, navigate to your desktop and click on stealth241.dup, and open.
The traffic light, start update, icon should now have a green light, click on this icon.
Wait for stealth 241 to load.

4 Updating keys.bin files
Once completed you can now update the latest Diablo KEYS.bin file.
First download the latest Diablo keys.bin file, you can find this at alsat.
Now click on the Cam File System tab, and click on the connect option.
In the right hand pane you will see all the files currently loaded on your cam, in the left hand side you will see all the files on your computer.
If you have placed the new KEYS.bin file on your desktop you will now see it in the bottom left hand pane, highlight this and click the green arrow pointing to the right, you wil now be given the option to overwrite the old file, click yes.
This should be done in seconds and you can now disconnect and Exit.

5 Setting the Configuration options.
To get your newly loaded Cam to work you need to set the configuration options, which can be done using your Cas 3 or your receiver and remote.
Using your Cas 3
Click on the utilities tab and OK.
Click on the Common Interface Host icon.
You should now see Stealth 241
Click Enter Selected, highlight Configuration and enter, or use the double mouse click option.
You will now see a list of settings.
Ensure you have the following options:
Auto PMT ON, this is usually set to on.
Emulators ON, just double click on it to change the settings.
N2 AU ON
Emulators Priority 1 Emu 2 Cards, unless you are using a subscription card.
Fixed CW can be turned ON if any biss encrypted channels are available in the Keys.bin file.
Once set your new cam is ready to use.
Exit the software and place your Cam in your receiver.
Premiere, 19.2E, Polsat 13E, and Digi TV 1W, are al currently AU (Auto Updating) so if you leave your receiver on one of the channels for a few minutes the keys wil automatically update and you can view the package.
For TPS 13E, you need to leave your receiver tuned to Sci Fi, France 5 or other channel on 10873 V 27500 for a few minutes, once opened you can view the rest of the package.

If you have any problems, or other questions, please post back.

try closing the program and checking under Utilities, Common Interface Host if the Cas 3 recognises your Cam, if it does start up the Diablo software and try connecting again.

Seems to have connected now, formated cam then loaded
Desktop\diablo stealth files\Stealth240\Stealth239 .dup

This route highlights keys.bin on the cam.
The green right arrow tries to copy stealth239.dup from my computer.
and gives the error 'Not enought space to copy this file!' ?

Inserting Cam after this update and tuning to all three France 5 channels give 'Scrambled program'

The latest Stealth is stealth 241, not stealth 239.
Also you need to highlight the NEW Keys.bin file you have downloaded from alsat, and placed on your desktop, not the old keys.bin file in the Cam.
Have you been into the configuration menu and turned Auto PMT ON, and Emulators ON, as nothing will open without doing this.

Tried removing cam and turning Fortec passion off and on.

Get 'Initialising Cam module 1'

One of the France 5 is visible

It has to be one of the channels on 10873 V 27500, like Sci Fi, have you got N2 AU ON? If so try one of the Polsat channels on hotbird to see if they open.

N2 AU is on

I can see SciFi channel

Channel names beginning with Polsat do not open apart from the one shown as not encripted?

Polsat, 13E, is still AU with teh Diablo Cam and Stealth 241, try leaving your receiver tuned to Boomerang, 12284 H 27500, for a few minutes.

Most of the settings are for the user to make the most out of the Cam. The earlier Stealth files were a lot slower at changing channels, particularly switching between different encryptions, so turning off a few unused things made it slightly quicker.
The later Stealth files have improved and are much quicker.
If you turn Fixed CW ON, and load the latest Diablo keys.bin file, you will open INXTC, the mature content channel on 13E.
Also if you're not using a subscription card it is best to change Emulators Priority to 1 Emu 2 Cards.
If you don't want to see the card message, keys are expired, you can turn that off, personally I prefer to leave it on as when you see it you know the cam is working.

Fixed CW set to ON and 241 loaded,

INXTC shows 'scrambled program'?

Some Polsat channels now open

This thread is from 2008, none of these cams are supported any more, as they are practically obsolete.

As receivers have developed, especially Enigma 2 receivers, and encryption systems, have become more secure, even when using a proper subscription card, third party multi cams have become unsupported.

You might find some old files, but I doubt it will help.
