Thats a very tidy setup. What LNB are you using on the CM 1.2m? . Love those dishes.

@Topper:
The 2 bigger dishes on the roof, how big are they roughly ?
Could you make out to which position they're looking at ?
Concerning the elevation and azimuthal difference i see 68.5E/105.5E as a possibility.

Hi!
this looks like a gsm transmitter sender,not use for normal satellite reception,in other countrys like mexico and thailand they are all real big,around 10 times higher then here in europe,proberbly because of the fact,espasaly in south america the using 1900 mhz band,and then the need more gsm cells,to spread up there signal in a larger radius!

very bad converage,in most 1900 mhz areas,outside the maincitys you have no signal!

To be honest they were high up but I would have thought 2.4 mtr for the bottom right one but that is a guess, I am sure some dish expert will correct me if wrong

This one gives a good idea of the sort of punishment a dish takes from the sea air, and I bet it was still working ok. It is situated on the roof of an apartment in Tel Aviv, next to the aircon unit.

Turok, the one on the right with elevation almost or equal 0 could be indeed for non satellite reception but at least the one on the left side looking up about 30-40° has a cap for the feedhorn, so it must be used for sat reception. Maybe it's feeding a cable network.

Never mind Topper. Maybe somebody else knows more.

But this thread is about photos and i don't want to start a bigger discussion here.

I am sorry to say that I cannot pinpoint my exact direction but I think you are right in thinking that the large one faces west ! Setenil is strange.

I was down in Shropshire over the Easter break - found these at the Wooferton transmitting station.

You can see some of the towers and parts of the curtain arrays used by the radio services in the background.

Found a couple more. This transmitter installation is on top of one of Black Mixen in the Radnor Forest mountain range. Its a full blown 2000' mountain, and anyone fit enough can cycle up the entire way on forest roads leading up to the transmitter.

We walked up taking in Bache Hill on the way in.

Its lovely up in the Radnor Hills - well recommended for some easy rambles for anyone holidaying in the area :)
