Left to right:

Nothing whatsoever to do with dishes but this amused me no end. Any ladies want to volunteer to dress up as Daisy Duke?

This bloody monstrosity is right on top of Whistler Mountain and can be seen from miles away!

Whistler is weird - its like The Village from the 1960's cult classic tv show The Prisoner. A long way from anywhere, difficult to get out of and all the footpaths eventually lead straight back to the middle of the town!

For anyone wondering what on earth Im dribbling on about here is the title theme from the first show

BTW its still shown regularly today - I spotted an ep on ITV4 a few evenings back, and on Arte yesterday, although being dubbed into German is just wrong somehow

Whilst on a recent holiday to bulgaria i clocked this beast directly on the beach at the side of a bar...its between 5 and 6 meters and is made up of 2 pieces!!..not sure which sat its on? but they are using an invacom single lnb on it....God knows how they managed to set the focal point and skew though..lol..

.lol.yeah course i did..there,s actually another 3 dishes at the side of this one,all 2.4s and motorised,but i guess it must be on 28e..but no telly,s on when i was there....also some lovely birds sunbathing only 15ft from this dish..but no pics cos the missus would have killed me ..lol..

Saw this recently on a Isle of Skye campsite --
i,m guessing that it was for satellite -- it was aimed in a south east direction --
i,v not seen one like this on a camper-van before though ? --
anyone recognise it ? ----
the van was not U.K registered .

Kathrein do a 65cm one that shape but I don't think it's their logo on that dish. Was the van on German plates?

It is. Kathrein Mobisat BAS60 and BAS62 look like this. According to several posts in german boards these are very effective flat antennas. Can be seen quite often here on caravans and even on SNG vans.

Last few from Canada. First up - three more from Whistler

The little hut is part of the comms system for the mountain workers. The hut itself is the explosive store where the bombs are kept that the safety guys start avalanches off.

The hotel is next to the main ski lifts and has an impressive display of dishes and comms gear on the roof.

The last pic is a C-band dish on a building next to the ski lifts.

The "Channel A" Vancouver building. (There are two very nice brew pubs within 200 yards of this building )

And finally

1) A very nice little lighthouse just offshore of Victoria - and there are 2 dishes hiding in the picture

2) a SNG truck used by Channel A. I had a quick word with the guy running it - this truck was using microwave uplinks onto a local tower block which was then patched back to the studio building

not certain--- but it think it probably was -- there were a number of german campers in that night --
i was going to ask them about the dish but they left the site early in the morning --

Not too many Satellite Dishes, I'm afraid (I was more interested in the various styles of Tram!), but here's a couple of a mini OB unit parked outside the Ministry of Telecommunications followed by one of the rustiest dish I've ever seen. LNB and Cable looked newish, so I guess the dish was operable. Magnifier on standby ------- I took the rusty dish snap from the top of the New Town Hall Tower and only have a cheapo camera with 3* zoom.
